Our Journey with Autism Spectrum Disorder: A message of Belief and Support
Our identical twin boys were diagnosed as Severely Autistic in Sept 2023 (22 months old). From a parent’s perspective, it was like the roof fell on our head. We both, being scientists, did our extensive analysis of this new project in our life, including collecting knowledge on what Ayurveda, homeopathy, and how the therapies available (Occupational, Speech, ABA) can help for Autism recovery. We moved ahead with a well-planned strategy including work on diet plans per Ayurveda and holistic approach work covering occupational, Speech, ABA. Starting at the age of 21 months, we worked extensively with our twins, focusing on tailored interventions and therapies, and have seen remarkable success in their development. Last one year we have lived like a decade in pain and work, the great news is that we also got results like a decade. After about 15 months (6000 hours), at the age of 36 months, our twin boys not only recovered fully from Autism Spectrum Disorder, they both, in fact, did show excellent all-around abilities and we have published some world records for our twins (copy available on our website).
Sanskar Bansal has 5 world records and Satvik Bansal has 3 world records. Some more world records are in pipeline. In 2024, they both were chosen as Top Talent of the Year by America Book of Records. They are cognitively much ahead of their age group. Our twin boys who are 3-year-old have displayed milestones that are way beyond their age in all aspects. These boys (3-year-old) are academically on par with 6-year-old kids. They started reading English books at the age of 27 months and could spell about 1000 words up to 10 letters of length.
Now, they can write short assays. They both communicate like 5-year-olds and are Physically on par with 4-year-olds. All the therapists who worked with us, they all were so appreciative of our dedication and approach. They all were amazed at how we had already started working with our boys much before any therapy had actually started. Many of the therapists admitted that they learnt a lot from us. In their words, they mentioned us as the greatest parents they have ever seen who work with autistic kids. Today, both the twin boys (severely Autistic 2 years ago) stand at the same level, that further evidences & supports our approach on how we strategized their recovery.
The therapists who worked with us were amazed by our at-home set-up and termed it as a complete therapy center. Recently, for the first time, we shared our journey on a public platform, “Awetism Insights” YouTube channel, hosted by Reena Singh, an occupational therapist based in Pune. Our goal in sharing our story is to raise awareness, inspire hope, and let others know that we are eager to assist families navigating similar challenges. Currently, we are working with over 50 families, offering support and strategies for their children on the spectrum.
